David Letterman told his audience tonight Oct. 1 that he is the victim of an alleged extortion attempt AND
He admitted to having sexual relations with several members of his staff, according to a press release from Worldwide Pants Inc.
Letterman made the announcement during the taping of the “Late Show” on Thursday.
He explained that someone contacted him three weeks ago saying they had information that Letterman allegedly had sexual relationships with female employees, according to the press release.
Letterman told the Manhattan District Attorney’s office’s Special Prosecution Bureau
Eventually, they paid the individual with a fake $2 million check, the statement said, which resulted in an arrest Thursday.
Letterman told his audience about the experience saying, “this morning, I did something I’ve never done in my life,” according to the statement. “I had to go downtown and testify before a grand jury.”
He adds
“My response to that is, yes I have. Would it be embarrassing if it were made public? Perhaps it would,” said Letterman, according to the press release. “I feel like I need to protect these people — I need to”

Rumor has it Britney Spears fans can soon be seeing the pop star in another dimension.
Spears is reportedly planning to film her sell-out “Circus” tour in 3-D.
According to PerezHilton Spears is planning to film the Las Vegas dates of her “Circus Starring Britney Spears” tour in the special format, scheduled for September 26th and 27th at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.
Normally this would go to credibility and I would be skeptic but Perez is a part of Circus introduction video so he may KNOW!
Spears’ camp has been providing clues to the announcement, including a cryptic blog posting last week using the number 3. “So sit back and relax, be patient one more tim3/the answer can be found within this little rhyme,” it read.
They planned on making it official in a week or two. “Very exciting announcement that many of you have been waiting for coming soon,” said manager Adam Leber in a Twitter update. “Might be a week, and it might be 2 so stay tuned.”
There’s no word on when the 3-D concert film would be released. It would be Britney’s second concert filmed in Las Vegas, when her “Dream Within A Dream” Vegas concert date premiered on HBO and later DVD in 2001.
Major movie theater ticket agents online are reporting that some showings for The Twilight Saga: New Moon opening are already SOLD OUT!
This is just crazy! I don’t even really know if I believe it.
Fandango is reporting that it already has 50 sold-out showings and that New Moon was the top seller of the weekend, even over movies that are actually out in theaters!
MovieTickets.com reports are the same they say dozens of its show times all filled up.

After months of legal wrangling, the amount of money allotted for Michael Jackson’s children — Prince, Paris and Blanket — has finally been decided!
According to TMZ legal documents released today show the kids will receive a monthly allowance of $60,000!!
Additionally, Katherine Jackson, Michael’s mother, will receive $26, 804 per month.
The Jackson estate is currently being probated and the legal docs state that, “the Estate assets consist of real and personal property exceeding $500 million and that the Estate is solvent.”

Zachory Loring, 24, was jailed yesterday in Sonoma, Calif., on outstanding charges of vandalism and disturbing the peace. “It’s pretty much a simple warrant arrest,” says Sonoma PD spokesman Lt. Chris Spallino.
Loring had been rung up in the town of Petaluma on the respective misdemeanors in 2007 and last June. He remains held without bail and is due in court on Friday.
The 24-year-old star of The Hills and Sorority Row claimed Loring repeatedly showed up unannounced at her L.A. home, once with a picture of a strangled woman. That prompted her to go to court to keep him away!
A hearing on making the protection order permanent is set for Sept. 30. Patridge’s rep declined to comment on Loring’s arrest!
